Tourney champs

The Van Wert Pride 12-under Girls fast-pitch club softball team was the champion of the New Haven fifth annual Luau Fast-pitch Softball Tournament held July 15-17 at New Haven, Ind. The team defeated Monroe, Ind., 10-9 in the championship game! Team members include: Cora Millay, Meredith Adams, Meghan Moonshower, Megan Spray, Makenzie Sipe, Abbi Spridgeon, Coach Sean Kennedy, Alli Kennedy, Olivia Profit, Jada Preston, Sierra Blackmore, Alyx Slusher, Kateri Steinecker, Hayley Klausing, Haley Hawk and Coach Greg Steinecker (missing: Coach Jeff Millay).
