YMCA offers Swedish massage therapy

The YMCA of Van Wert County announces that Paula K. Davies, LMT, is now doing massage therapy at the Y, with a fully functioning massage therapy room located on the second floor.

Davies comes with over seven years of massage therapy experience and specializes in Swedish massage and hot stone therapy. Her certifications include neuromuscular release for cervical pain, neuromuscular release for low back and hip pain, neuromuscular release for upper and lower extremities, postural distortion, carpal tunnel syndrome, hot stone therapy, advanced facial facelift, chair massage and massage therapy for people living with cancer.

“Paula’s services have been a great addition to the YMCA,” said YMCA Executive Director Hugh Kocab.  “With multiplying programs, fitness classes, senior programs and personal training, we felt massage therapy would be a natural fit.”

Davies also does advanced facelift facials with Ahava products. These are all natural dead-sea materials for sensitive skin, with ten facials equaling one mini-facelift.

Schedule an appointment at the Y with Davies by calling her directly or texting 419.303.0914. Her regular hours of availability are Mondays, 8 a.m.-8 p.m.; Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 8 a.m.-10 a.m. and 3 p.m.-8 p.m.; and every other Saturday.

Prices are: 30-minute Swedish massages, $20 for Y members, $30 for potential members; 60-minute Swedish massages, $35 for Y members, $45 for potential members; Hot Stone Therapy, $45 for members, $55 for potential members; advanced facelift facials, $50 for members, $60 for potential members.

Specials currently available are: Buy three 60-minute massages for $99; buy four massages and get the fifth free (must be the same service); enjoy all services (one 60-minute massage, one hot-stone therapy and one facial) for $110.

All services are subject to tax. Gift certificates are also available at the front desk of the Y.
