Phillip K. Hammond

Phillip K. Hammond, 47, of Delphos, died at 2:20 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born November 22, 1963, in Lima, the son of the late David E. and Glenna R. (Buzard) Hammond. He married Debbie Hammond, who survives in Delphos.

Other survivors include a brother, Larry (Shirley) Hammond of Delphos; three sisters, Vicky Hammond and Allison (Jack) Teeters, both of Delphos, and Cindy (Mitch) Smith of Harrod; four children, Robin, Brian, Amelia and Alisha; his grandfather, Tom Minnig; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A brother, Edward Hammond, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, July 29, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Delphos.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, July 28, where a parish wake will be held at 7:30 that evening, and an hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
