G.M. Alspaugh

G.M. Alspaugh, 85, of Celina, died Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.

He was born October 16, 1925, in Wilshire, the son of the late Arnold and Ruah (Clouse) Alspaugh. On January 11, 1948, he married Bonnie (Burke) Alspaugh, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include four sons, Albert (Dayle) Alspaugh or Rockford, Terry (Beth) Alspaugh of Decatur, Ind., Mark (Rhonda) Alspaugh of Celina and Todd (Melissa) Alspaugh of Greenville; two sisters, Ruth Dunlap of Florida and Joy Steele of Decatur; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Peggy Alspaugh; and one brother, Eben Alspaugh, also preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, August 7, at the Rockford Community Building at Shane’s Park, with David Burden officiating.

There will be calling hours.

Preferred memorials: Celina Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
