Reward offered in crane damage incident

Van Wert County Sheriff Stan D. Owens has announced that Blattner Energy, which is part of the wind turbine project with Iberdrola Renewables, has authorized a $5,000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those involved in damaging a project crane and site lights on John Yoh Road. The incident occurred sometime between 4:30 p.m. Saturday, July 2, and 7:30 a.m. Sunday, July 3. Damage to the crane and lights was estimated at $589,400.

Sheriff Owens said that anyone with information should contact his office at 419.238.3866 or email bellerbrock@vanwertcountysheriff.com to provide information to the deputy who is investigating the incident.
