YMCA announces items for live auction

YMCA information

The YMCA of Van Wert County is announcing the three items to be sold during its live auction this Saturday, August 6, at 1 p.m.

A 1999 Buick Century Limited (courtesy of Taylor’s Auto Sales) comes from a local trade and has air-conditioning, leather interior, full power, 169,000 miles and has only had one owner and has been garaged since new.

Also being auctioned is a 1999 Saturn Ion (courtesy of Lee Kinstle GM Sales and Service) with 166,000 miles. This vehicle gets 34-plus mpg, has air-conditioning and a five-speed manual transmission.

To complete the auction is a great condition, used John Deere riding mower (courtesy of Kennedy-Kuhn).

These items will be auctioned live on the front lawn of the YMCA on Saturday, August 6, as the finale to the Y’s garage sale.  Cash or check will be needed the day of the auction in order to purchase.

The Y garage sale will be Friday, August 5, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, August 6, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Everything will be $1, unless otherwise marked.  Donations will be appreciated for hot dogs and drinks, which will also be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. both days.

The Y has also added one other “perk” to its sale…anyone who joins the Y during these garage sale hours will pay no joining fee (a value worth up to $75).

Information about this and other programs available at the Van Wert YMCA can also be found by visiting www.vwymca.org.

The YMCA of Van Wert County is partially funded by The Van Wert County Foundation and United Way of Van Wert County.
