Daniel Steven Gutierrez

Daniel Steven Gutierrez, 56, died Monday, August 1, 2011, in Fort Wayne, Ind.

He was born September 17, 1954, in Van Wert, the son of the late John and Josephine (Marez) Gutierrez.

Survivors include three children, Keith D. (Tiffany) Gutierrez of Amherst, and Jason S. Gutierrez and Andrew J. Gutierrez, both of Findlay; 10 siblings, John (Pamela) Gutierrez of Paulding, Diann (Jeff) Ebel of Grover Hill, Gilbert (Denise) Gutierrez and Mariea (Dan) Moreland, both of Van Wert, Sue Szuch of Elida, Lou (Steve) Biberstine of Ohio City, Ron Gutierrez of Tallahassee, Fla., Randy (Jeanene) Gutierrez of Rockford, David (Marsha) Gutierrez of Fort Wayne, and Bernadine (Klayton) Hooper of Cloverdale; and two grandchildren, twins McKenzie and Madison Gutierrez. He also had many loving nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

A sister, Theresa Gutierrez, who died at birth, and a brother-in-law, Dave Szuch, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 6, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert, with Father Stanley Szybka officiating.

Calling hours are from 1-6 p.m. Friday, August 5, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert.
