Wassenberg Camera Club gives pointers for fair entries

On Thursday, July 28, camera members and guests had the opportunity to see if their pictures would be likely to do well in competitions coming up at the end of this month and the next. Both prints and slides were submitted for examination and suggestions were promptly given. The group also got to see some travel pictures.

President Hattery had a sign-up sheet for help with taking in pictures at the fair, assisting the photography judge, hosting the show, and taking down the exhibit. There was discussion concerning who could cater the Wassenberg Photography reception and how much should be budgeted for food Suggestions for the prospectus for the October Show were also offered.

Wassenberg Art Center Director Hope Wallace as well as Michaela Parsons and Christina Ashbaugh of rural Van Wert visited the meeting.

The Wassenberg Camera Club will next meet Thursday, August 11, at 7 p.m. at the Wassenberg Art Center, 643 S. Washington St., Van Wert.

Water will be the competition theme in prints and slides that evening.
