Hiram R. Bok

Hiram R. Bok, 78, of Elida, died at 9:52 p.m. Sunday, August 7, 2011, at Vancrest Health Care Center of Delphos.

He was born January 5, 1933, in Hammond, Ind., the son of the late Richard R. and Esther L. (King) Bok. On June 22, 1958, he married Virginia (Jones) Bok, who survives in Elida.

Other survivors include a son, Richard Ray (Diana) Bok of Ravenna; one daughter, Florence Melinda Bok of Elida; a brother, Lowell (Marilyn) Bok of Anna; four sisters, Pauline Farkas of Gary, Ind., Doris Altstaetter of Elida; Martha Marilyn Edwards of Lima and Lavonne Boose of Haskins; and a brother-in-law, Dick Suever of Delphos.

Two sisters, Margaret Bok and Jeanine Suever, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 11, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, with the Rev. Brian Knoderer officiating. Burial will be in Pike Run Cemetery in Gomer.

Calling hours are from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 10, and an hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.
