St. Mary’s classes to begin in August

St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic School will begin the 2011-12 school year on Monday, August 22.

Kindergarten parents are encouraged to attend an informative orientation on Tuesday, August 16, at 6:30 p.m. in the kindergarten classroom.

All students and their families may visit the school on Friday, August 19, between 1:30 and 3 p.m.  Teachers and staff will be in the building and students may bring in school supplies that may be stored in student lockers.

An all-school open house is scheduled for Wednesday, August 24. Grades 1 and 2 will meet between 6:30 and 7 p.m.; grades 3-5 will meet between 7 and 7:30 p.m.

St. Mary of the Assumption is the only parochial school in Van Wert County. It offers a Christ-centered education and welcomes students of all faiths.  All teachers are certified, well trained and experienced.  The school follows the curriculum as established by the Diocese of Toledo, which parallels the Ohio Department of Education curriculum guide.
