Lucille Proxmire

Lucille Proxmire, 91, of Paulding, died Thursday, August 11, 2011, at the Gardens of Paulding.

She was born October 30, 1919, in Paulding, the daughter of the late Dorie and Blanche (Clouse) Bryan. On November 24, 1949, she married Leo A. Proxmire, who preceded her in death in 1999.

Survivors include a sister, Thais Stallbaum of Paulding; and several nieces and nephews.

A son, John W. “Bill” Mees; one daughter, Patty Mees; four brothers, Forrest “Ducky”, Kenny, Eugene “Tuffy” and Robert; and a sister, Catherine Sontchi, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery in Paulding.

Calling hours are from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: Paulding County Cancer Society or the Gardens of Paulding Activity Fund.
