Concert series finale

A record — or near record — crowd was on hand for the final concert of the 2011 Fountain Park Summer Music Series sponsored by The Van Wert County Foundation. Gary Puckett and the Union Gap (above) entertained the huge crowd (below), which nearly filled Fountain Park, from band shell to Main Street. Those who stayed after the concert also had the opportunity to catch a showing of The Wizard of Oz on a 30-by-24-foot outdoor screen. (photos by Dave Mosier/Van Wert independent)
