Ray O. Zinn

Ray O. Zinn, 84, of Van Wert, died at 12:06 p.m. Sunday, August 7, 2011, at his residence.

He was born February 28, 1927, in Tully Township, Van Wert County, the son of the late R.E. “Bud” and Eva M. (Osborn) Zinn. On June 4, 1950, he married Becky (Hiatt) Zinn, who preceded him in death on January 23, 2010.

Survivors include three children, Deborah J. (Ted) Lee and Kim L. (Georgette “GeGe”) Zinn, both of Van Wert, and Deana R. (Nolan) Wolfe of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a brother, Carl C. Zinn of Bakersfield, Calif.; three granddaughters and two grandsons; and two great-granddaughters.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday, August 20, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Clark Williman officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery near Middle Point.

Calling hours are from 1-4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
