Doyl Remus Mohr

Doyl Remus Mohr, 89, of Haviland, died at 7:23 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2011, at the Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born April 24, 1922, in Blue Creek Township, Paulding County, the son of the late Remus E. and Grace F. (Kinkade) Mohr. On November 22, 1942, he married Beulah E. (Danklefsen) Mohr, who preceded him in death on April 1, 2008.

Survivors include two daughters, Lynn (Jerry) Fensler of Defiance and Lois (Richard) Schmucker of Pioneer; a son, Stanley (Myria) Mohr of Latty; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Janet Hockenberry of Haviland; and a sister-in-law, Sally Mohr of Van Wert.

A brother, Glenn Mohr; and one brother-in-law, Cloy Hockenberry, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, at Country Chapel United Methodist Church in Haviland, with Pastor Ron Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Scott Cemetery.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Monday, August 15, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding, and an hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
