Mary H. Sites

Mary H. Sites, 94, of Van Wert, died at 11:20 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2011, at Van Wert Manor.

She was born June 18, 1917, in Venedocia, the daughter of the late Stephin D. and Mary O. (Murlin) Shobe. On December 26, 1937, she married Kenneth I. Sites, who preceded her in death on February 5, 1983.

Survivors include a son, Harold E. Sites of Van Wert; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Four children, Kenneth R. Sites, Jack W. Sites, John D. Sites and Sandra C. Schnepp; four brothers, Russell, Howard, Paul and Stanley Shobe; a half-brother, Charley Sites; and four sisters, Mildred McGuire, Paulding Sites, Winnie Potts and Caroline Shobe, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, August 19, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 9-11 a.m. Friday, August 19, at the funeral home.
