Anne Contreraz

Anne Contreraz, 48, of Defiance, died Wednesday, August 17, 2011, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.

She was born October 7, 1942, in Paulding, the daughter of Rebecca (Effrain H.) Canales of Defiance and the late Ambrosio Contreraz.

Other survivors include a friend Juan Hernandez of Defiance; and a niece.

A brother, Andrew Contreraz, also preceded her in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 20, at Divine Mercy Catholic Parish in Paulding, with Father G. Allan Fillman officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery in Paulding.

Calling hours are from 4-8 p.m. Friday, August 19, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding, where a rosary service will be held at 7 that evening.

Preferred memorials: Masses or a charity of donor’s choice.
