Give the gift of music!
After talking with my box office manager recently, I was reminded of how people have used the gift of music as a way of expressing gratitude. An out-of-town business recently purchased over 100 tickets to the John Tesh Christmas concert at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center for their employees. What a great way of saying thanks and what a great way of enjoying a special night out for all these employees and their families! Do you think their employees are more motivated to give their best effort at work? I would imagine after the Tesh Christmas concert, they will be very pleased they work for their employer.
This is just one example of how giving the gift of music has been used as a motivational tool. People are constantly finding a gift certificate or tickets to an NPAC concert as great gift ideas. We at the NPAC are working to make your gift ideas as special as possible. Check with the box office for ideas of how we can help.
Many of the concerts this season at the NPAC are starting to fill up. David Phelps Christmas single tickets go on sale today and we are expecting a big surge in ticket sales. If you are not familiar with Phelps, he is a phenomenal singer who currently sings tenor with the Gaither Vocal Band as well as performing his own concerts when available. His Christmas concerts are really special; just ask anyone who has attended one (or a few in the case of David Phelps enthusiasts and Van Wert residents Roger and Joanne Wolford). Tickets start at just $10 and would make a tremendous gift for birthdays, anniversaries, or special occasion. The Phelps concert is Sunday, November 27. That’s Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend and would be a wonderful way to usher in Christmas for anyone, especially after those grueling shopping days just before the concert!
Numerous other concerts are selling well just based on package sales. Don’t let this keep you from getting a seat, though, as I really think almost every seat is a good seat at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center.
Watch the news for upcoming items about the special 9/11 Tribute concert on September 11. It features the Fort Wayne Philharmonic along with a men’s chorus, two soloists, specially created video montages of the past and current events, and numerous surprises throughout the evening. Remember that the time of this concert is now 7 p.m. It will be the opening concert of the season and so all the plugs will be pulled on this one. The Niswonger Performing Arts Center will be transformed into perhaps the finest tributes to this memorable occasion’s 10th anniversary.
I personally think music is a good and glorious gift God has given us. When used properly, it is something that should be shared with others. I hope the NPAC provides you plenty of opportunities to create and share lasting memories right here in Van Wert!
Don’t forget to catch the Van Wert Area Community Concert Band in Fountain Park this Friday at 7 p.m. Got it right this time!
FINÉ.
