Rolland A. Runyon

Rolland A. Runyon, 80, of Van Wert, died at 1 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2011, at Van Wert Manor.

He was born February 4, 1931, in Lima, the son of the late Reuben A. and Marjorie F. (Patterson) Runyon. On December 23, 1950, he married Lydia J. (Bowersock) Runyon, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include a son, Doug (Joyce) Runyon of Van Wert; one daughter, Debra S. (David) Springer of Angola, Ind.; a brother, Ned E. (Barbara) Runyon of Wolcottville, Ind.; one sister, Nancy Ann (John) Spellman of Lima; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A grandson, Derek Runyon, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 6 p.m. Tuesday, August 30, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Private graveside family services will be held.

Calling hours are from 1-6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
