Lincolnview FFA chapter has busy summer

The Lincolnview FFA chapter has had a very busy summer. The chapter was able to send two students to FFA Camp, with Bryce and Alex Campbell attending camp in Carrollton. They participated in many fun activities. In July, several members of the Lincolnview FFA helped with an Answer Plot Program by helping serve and maintain coolers full of water and cleaning up.

Dr. E. Gordon Gee, president of The Ohio State University, came to visit and tour Universal Lettering Company.  This is where the FFA jackets are made for all the chapters in the United States.

The Lincolnview FFA then had a chapter picnic August 19 for new and old members to sign up for working at Baby Barnyard and the wood shavings trailer. They also played miniature golf, swam, and enjoyed fellowship with friends. Many members are now getting ready for the county fair. They will be participating in areas from showing steers, hogs, dairy, poultry, horses, and rabbits, many more to welding and woodworking projects. Come out and support local FFA club members and the rest of the junior fair this year during the fair and livestock sale.

Also, Lincolnview FFA chapter will be selling wood shavings again at the fair as its fundraiser and would appreciate community support. The Lincolnview FFA chapter would also like to thank last years buyers and supporters of the Junior Fair and extend an invitation to the community to come out this year on September 6 at 9 a.m. in the Farm Focus Arena and support 4-H and FFA exhibitors.
