Lancer boys 1st, girls 2nd in quad meet

ELIDA — The Lincolnview Lancer cross country teams competed in a quad meet held Tuesday night at Elida against Ottawa-Glandorf, Elida, and Kenton.

The boys’ team ran impressively, placing its top five runners in the top eight of the race. The Lancer boys scored 25 points and won the meet easily.

Top five runners for the boys were Bayley Tow (second), Jeff Jacomet (fourth), Brandon Jacomet (fifth), Ben Bilimek (sixth), and Austin Treesh (eighth).

The Lancer girls’ team placed second in the meet and were paced by a second place finish by Kerri Grothaus. Sabrina Barnhart was ninth, Karissa Burns 10th, Haley McAbee 15th, and Taylor Miller 18th.
