OHIO CITY — A benefit for Ohio City resident Linda Ainsworth is planned for this Saturday, September 17, in the Community Building in Fireman’s Park in Ohio City. Ainsworth is suffering from squamous cell carcinoma and is receiving radical radiation treatments in Cleveland. The benefit is being held to help pay for her medical bills and other expenses.

A full slate of activities has been planned for the day, starting off with Kids Wiffleball at 9 a.m., followed by a “Shake it for Linda” Zumba party, led by Angie George-Hatfield, from 9-10:30 that morning.

From 10 a.m.-noon there will be face painting, while a chicken dinner provided by Manley’s Meat Market will begin at noon.

A silent auction will be conducted from noon-5 p.m., featuring a number of items and services, while a Cornhole tournament will begin at 1 that afternoon.

A regular auction of items donated will be held, starting at 2 p.m., along with more face painting, while Bingo will begin at 2:30 (or when the auction’s over).

At 4 p.m., Cass Blue and Friends band will perform, followed by Triad at 6 p.m. and a band to be announced at 8 p.m.
