VW v-ball team gets WBL win over Elida
The Van Wert Cougar varsity volleyball team extended its Western Buckeye League record to 2-1 with a victory over the Elida Bulldogs on Thursday.

Van Wert won the first two games by scores of 26-24 and 25-21, but the Lady Bulldogs made a comeback in the third game, winning 25-19 to force a fourth game.
That game was won by the Lady Cougars, 26-24, but not without a struggle, as the score changed hands several times before it was all over.

The Cougar junior varsity team is now 3-0 in WBL competition and 6-1 overall after defeating Elida in straight games, 25-15 and 25-17.
