decided to have this competition.  It’s been friendly so far.”  That’s what R. J. Coleman, the chairman of this years United Way Day of Caring campaign says about a little friendly food gathering challenge now underway.  Coleman goes on to say, “Everyone needs to remember that the challenge was that the winners get to choose 6 people from the losing team to get a pie in the face in front of the courthouse on Friday at 12:00 noon.”   Coleman says  people are having a great time going back and forth checking each others collection out, sending emails, and hoping they won’t be one of the six.  “We will just have to wait and see what happens on Friday”, he says.  The winner will actually be determined late Thursday afternoon.  Meanwhile, in other Day of Caring events, a  separate food drive at the Salvation Army and the annual blood drive at Trinity Friends Church will take place on Friday.
