Vantage FFA donates to Day of Caring Drive
The Vantage Career Center FFA has donated $500 toward food purchases in the 2011 Day of Caring Drive. FFA President Abram Mitchner explained they

had some funds in their treasury and after talking it over with instructor Mike Miller, decided to donate them to this years food drive. United Way’s Deb Russell remarked, “I think it’s fitting that the Future Farmers of America are feeding the hungry. We are very appreciative of the members for choosing to purchase food with their funds.” Russell stated that many other students at Vantage have been collecting funds for the drive and that volunteers would be purchasing food Thursday. Other Vantage students take an active roll in helping the Red Cross with the blood drive each year.
