Edwin E. Watkins

Edwin E. Watkins, 86, of Lima, died at 12:53 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2011, at his residence.

He was born September 14, 1925, in Putnam County, the son of the late Henry and Linda (VanDemark) Watkins. On February 28, 1948, he married Isabella (Wells) Watkins, who survives in Lima.

Other survivors include two sons, Michael A. (Barb) Watkins of Elida and Patrick A. (Joyce) Watkins of Greenbrier, Tenn.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Theresa A. Watkins; two brothers, Byron and Willis Watkins; and a sister, Virginia Gooderding, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 28, at Harter and Schier Memorial Chapel in Delphos, with the Rev. Mark Walls officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos, with graveside military rites performed by the Delphos Veterans Council.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
