Marion Local wins 4th Pepsi Invitational

CONVOY — The 11th annual Pepsi Lady Knight Invitational was held Saturday, with the Marion Local Flyers coming away as the champion of the eight-team field for the fourth year in a row by defeating the Flyers of Norwalk St. Paul.

Marion Local defeated Old Fort and Crestview to reach the championship game, while St. Paul downed Celina and Edison to finish as runner-up.

Other participants in the tournament were Ottawa-Glandorf and Fort Recovery.

The Pepsi Invitational All Tourney team includes Liz Carr (Celina), Danica Hicks (Crestview), Elise Gastier (Edison), Olivia Livengood (St. Paul), Corynne Smith (St. Paul), and Josie Winner (Marion Local).  Claire Heitkamp of Marion Local was named tournament MVP.
