ODOT updates area highway projects
Van Wert independent/ODOT information
The following is a weekly update on construction and maintenance work on state highways within District 1 of the Ohio Department of Transportation. Area projects include the following:
Van Wert County
- U.S. 30, from Middle Point-Wetzel Road to Fifth Street in Delphos, is reduced to one lane through the work zone for a resurfacing project. Work to be completed by early November. Shelly Company of Findlay is performing the work.
- Ohio 118 (Shannon Street), between Ervin Road and Main Street, remains open to local traffic only during reconstruction, widening and water line and sanitary sewer installation that began in 2010. The project should be completed in October. Shelly Company of Findlay is performing the work.
Paulding County
- Ohio 111, from the Paulding County line to Detrick Street; Ohio 637, from Ohio 111 to Ohio 66; Ohio 66, from Oakwood to Rosedale Avenue in Defiance; and Ohio 613, from U.S. 127 to Oakwood – resurfacing is underway and is reducing traffic to one lane through the work zone. The project will continue until late October. Gerken Paving of Napoleon is performing the work.
- Ohio 66, south of Ohio 613 to the Paulding County line, will be reduced to one lane of traffic through the work zone during the week for a full depth pavement repair project. Paulding County ODOT is performing the work.
- Ohio 49, south of Ohio 613 to the Paulding County line, will be reduced to one lane of traffic through the work zone for a full depth pavement repair project. Paulding County ODOT is performing the work.
Putnam County
- Ohio 65, between County Road M and Ottawa, is restricted during the week for a ditch-cleaning project. Putnam County ODOT is doing the work.
- Ohio 189, at the intersection of U.S. 224 in Ottoville to County Road 18 in Rimer, is restricted to one lane through the work zone for resurfacing. The project will continue through October. Bluffton Paving is doing the work.
