YWCA plans Breast Cancer Awareness run
The YWCA of Van Wert County will be hosting its free Breast Cancer Awareness Fun Run/Walk on Sunday, October 9, at 2 p.m. at the Van Wert Reservoir. The event is sponsored by Van Wert County Hospital and Van Wert Manor.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Help kick off this important month by participating in a day of awareness! The free Fun Run/Walk will help spread awareness about breast cancer, as well as share inspiration from those who have lost their battle, are fighting and those who have won.
The event includes free beverages and sweets provided by Van Wert Manor. Van Wert County Hospital will also be distributing bags and specific information on THRIVE, its cancer support group. The hospital will also be selling breast cancer awareness t-shirts at the event, with all proceeds going to support local cancer support programs. No registration is needed prior to the event.
The YWCA is a United Way and Van Wert County Foundation funded agency.
