Central exceeds United Way goal
Employees of Central Mutual Insurance Company surpassed their United Way goal of $59,000. The employees pledged $62,261.68, which the company matched for a total United Way contribution of $124,523.36. The employee participation percentage was 93.4 percent, with an average personal donation of $182.05. Many employees also participated in the United Way Day of Caring by giving blood, contributing a total of 2,055 food and paper good items and working at Wee Care Learning Center on a Day of Caring project. Employees also purchased food from Pizza Hut on September 8 and more than $60 was donated to United Way from the purchases.
