Have “empty nest syndrome”? Have the kids gone back to school? Are you retired? Do you have extra time on your hands? Could you use something rewarding to do with your time?

There are immediate opportunities to volunteer at Van Wert County Hospital. The Red Cross Volunteer Program offers a unique opportunity to serve two great organizations at the same time.

For those who have considered volunteering, now is the time. During the winter months, the need for hospital volunteers increases. Some volunteers travel out of the area for the winter, which leaves gaps in volunteer coverage. Volunteer schedules are flexible and can be adjusted to accommodate people’s schedule.

Volunteers range in age from 20-80. This very unique group of trained volunteers is eagerly waiting others to join in this very rewarding experience.
