Ervin Michael Cox Jr.

Ervin Michael Cox Jr., 64, of Venedocia, died at 7:50 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2011, at his residence.

He was born September 26, 1947, the son of the late Ervin Michael Cox Sr. and Helen Irene (Fronefield) Cox. On November 1, 1969, he married Nancy Jo (Grimm) Cox, who survives.

Other survivors include a daughter, Mindy Jo (Bill) Barnhart of Weston; one son, Chad Michael Cox of Venedocia; two brothers, Walter L. (Betty) Cox of Ohio City and John R. Cox of Van Wert; two grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A sister, Eva VanFleet, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 26, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Van Wert, with Pastor Scott Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Venedocia Cemetery, with graveside military rites performed by the combined honor guard of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803 and American Legion Post 178.
