Harry D. Utterback

Harry D. Utterback, 91, of Paulding, died Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at the Gardens of Paulding in Paulding.

He was born December 21, 1919, in Paulding, the son of the late Clyde W. and Mary (Outland) Utterback. On March 1, 1947, he married Vanda R. (Welsh) Utterback, who preceded him in death on February 13, 1963.

Survivors include two sons, Chuck (Janice) Utterback of Massillon and Harry L. Utterback of Paulding; a brother, Rev. John (Nila Jean) Utterback of Tipton, Ind.; two sisters-in-law, Marilyn Utterback of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Gladys Utterback of Payne; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Inella Finnegan.

Two brothers, George and Earl Utterback; and a sister, Margaret Lightbourne, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 29, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding, with the Rev. Ben Lowell officiating. Burial will be in Live Oak Cemetery in Paulding, with graveside military rites performed by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 587 in Paulding.

Calling hours are from 4-8 p.m. Friday, October 28, and an hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: Paulding County Senior Center or a charity of the donor’s choice.
