Marsh youths earn Apple Fest art awards

The youths at The Marsh Foundation recently submitted projects completed in their art classes to the art competition at the annual Apple Festival. In the contest, Marsh youths were competing with students from all Van Wert County schools. There were more than 140 entries. Marsh Foundation youths won a total of five awards in various age categories.

Award winners were:

  • Zac – First Place ($20)
  • Dan – Second Place ($15)
  • Kalaeb – Fourth Place ($5)
  • Roger – Outstanding Award
  • Brianna – Outstanding Award

The Marsh Foundation youths would like to thank the Van Wert County Fruit Growers Association for hosting the competition and providing the opportunity to have their work showcased.

Serving children and families since 1922, The Marsh Foundation is a not-for-profit children’s services agency that provides behavioral treatment in a variety of settings. Services include group homes, treatment and family foster care, an intensive treatment program and independent living. Located in Van Wert, Ohio, the organization’s group homes are licensed for up to 30 children ages 7-17, offers an on-campus school for grades 2-12 and provides a variety of clinical services to group home residents, foster children and community members.
