Agricultural Society sets annual meeting

The annual meeting of the Van Wert County Agricultural Society will be held Saturday, November 12, at 9 a.m. in the Fair Board Office. There will be discussion of old business and any items that relate to the 2011 Fair.  A partial financial report will be given covering the past 11 months, since the Ohio Fair year runs from December 1 through November 30.

Following a lunch break, the afternoon meeting will begin at approximately 1 p.m.  At that time, the new directors will be sworn in and there will be election of officers. During the afternoon meeting, the dates for the 2012 Fair will be set, along with ticket prices for fair admission and grandstand events.

Included in the 2012 business will be hiring of personnel, approval of 2012 race dates, review of building rentals and stall rental and any additional items concerning the year 2012. The public is welcome to attend.
