Naomi Ruth Thomas

Naomi Ruth Thomas, 83, of Van Wert, died at 4:10 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2011, at Van Wert Manor in Van Wert.

She was born December 24, 1927, in Spencerville, the daughter of the late Clarence and Ruth (Doan) Oehlhof. On May 10, 1947, she married Paul Eugene Thomas, who preceded her in death on June 15, 2003.

Survivors include a son, Gary (Roberta) Thomas of rural Van Wert; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A brother who died in childhood also preceded her in death.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 8, in Tomlinson Cemetery in Union Township, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. There will be no calling hours.
