NPAC announces second Kenny G show
The Niswonger Performing Arts Center of Northwest Ohio in Van Wert is pleased to announce that a second show has been added for Christmas with Kenny G on Wednesday, December 7, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets will go on sale to the public for that show on Wednesday, November 9, at noon both at the box office and online at www.npacvw.org. The Tuesday, December 6, show is sold out.

In a recording career that spans nearly three decades and 23 albums, Grammy Award-winning saxophonist Kenny G has grafted elements of R&B, pop and Latin to a jazz foundation solidifying his reputation as the premiere artist in contemporary jazz. Since the early ‘80s, his combination of unparalleled instrumental chops and indelible melodies has resulted in sales of more than 75 million records worldwide (45 million in the U.S. alone) and more than a dozen climbs to the top of Billboard’s contemporary jazz chart.
Given these and other commercial and critical achievements, one might think Kenny is an artist with nothing to prove, but he once again reaffirms his enduring place in popular music with the June 29, 2010, release of Heart and Soul on Concord Records. Other career highlights include albums Silhouette (1988), Breathless (1992), Rhythm and Romance (2008), Miracles, a 1994 holiday album and two other holiday albums in 1999 and 2002 entitled Faith and Wishes.
The December shows at the NPAC will feature many of the songs off these holiday albums, along with his other hits, to create a night of true musical enjoyment.
The Christmas with Kenny G shows are sponsored in part by The Lima News and WDOH Radio. Tickets are $30-$65 and available Monday through Friday from noon-4 p.m. at the box office located at 10700 Ohio 118 in Van Wert, by phone at 419.238.NPAC (6722) or online at www.npacvw.org, beginning this Wednesday.
