Relay for Life kick-off date announced

The American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life in Van Wert will have its annual kick off celebration on Sunday, November 13, from 2-4 p.m., in The Marsh Foundation’s Recreation Center on Lincoln Highway.

All teams that sign up online prior to November 13, or at the kick-off, will receive a gift when they attend the kick-off celebration.

Team captains can pick up their packets and also register from some great door prizes, as well as participate in some fun activities planned for that day. There will also be activities for adults and children, including a cakewalk, music, food and drinks.

This year’s leadership team will also be seeking ideas for a theme for the 2012 Relay for Life campaign.
