Herbert K. Monroe

Herbert K. Monroe, 98, of Paulding, died Friday, November 11, 2011, at the Paulding County Hospital in Paulding.

He was born September 3, 1913, in Licking County, the son of the late Daniel G. and Henrietta (Berger) Monroe. On March 2, 1940, he married Mildred (Martin) Monroe, who preceded him in death on January 13, 1997.

Survivors include a son, Robert A. (Marty) Monroe of Cincinnati; a daughter-in-law, Darlene Monroe of Paradise Valley, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Two sons, Daniel and Glenn; a brother, Lewis Monroe; and one sister, Mildred Gaber, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 17, at First Presbyterian Church in Paulding, with Rev. David Meriwether officiating. Burial will be in Jersey Township Cemetery in Licking County on Friday, November 18.

Calling hours are from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding and an hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
