Local hospital now providing free Wi-Fi

Van Wert County Hospital is now providing free wireless Internet access (Wi-Fi). This service is designed to enhance the experience of both patients and visitors by enabling them to stay in touch with the outside world during their time at the hospital.

“At Van Wert Hospital, we are continuously striving to enhance the experience of our patients and visitors.” said Jerry Borton, information systems director. “We understand family and friends play an integral role in the healing process. The new Wi-Fi service will provide one more way for patients with a way to communicate with family and friends during their stay.”

Any patient or visitor can access the hospital’s hotspot using a personal Wi-Fi enabled device.  Users must agree to the terms and conditions of usage before accessing the network. This service is not secured and it is the user’s responsibility to take precautions and provide security measures suited for their situation and intended use.
