Thanksgiving dinner donations

The Van Wert County Limbhangers Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation and Van Wert Professional Firefighters (International Association of Fire Fighters Local 681) donated $100 each to purchase turkeys to be donated to three local food banks. Through the two groups’ combined efforts, and a generous donation from Van Wert Walmart Manager Jeff Welker and other local businesses, 30 turkeys, 30 dozen dinner rolls, 30 cans of vegetables and 30 pumpkin pies were divided among the three food banks in time for Thanksgiving.
