Kent Allen Staup

Kent Allen Staup, 17, of Delphos, died at 5:22 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2011.

He was born September 4, 1994, in Lima, the son of Tim and Lisa (Kleman) Staup, who both survive in Delphos.

Other survivors include two brothers, Kurtis Staup and Kyle Staup, both of Delphos; his paternal grandmother, Betty Staup; four uncles, Denny (Sandra) Kleman of Van Wert, Rick (Sharon) Kleman and Jeff (Vicky) Kleman, both of Fort Jennings, and Mike (Robin) Staup of Buchanan, Mich.; and two aunts, Linda (Tim) Gasser of Fort Jennings and Val Gerdeman of Columbus.

Maternal grandparents Robert “Bob” and Ruth (Wannemacher) Kleman; and his paternal grandfather, Gary Staup, also preceded him in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 30, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, with Father Jacob Gordon officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Delphos.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Monday, November 28, and Tuesday, November 29, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, where a parish wake will be held at 7:30 that evening.

Preferred memorials: St. John’s Parish Foundation or a charity of donor’s choice.
