Credit unions seek scholarship applicants

The Western Buckeye Chapter of Credit Unions is seeking applicants for five $500 scholarships that will be awarded near the end of the current school year.

To qualify for the scholarships, an applicant must be at least a high school senior. The scholarships can be used for college, vocational school or other professional or academic studies.

One winner will also be submitted to the state scholarship program, where four $2,500 scholarships will be awarded. Deadline for applications is February 10, 2012.

Contact a local credit union for an application. The Western Buckeye Chapter serves Allen, Auglaize, Defiance, Hancock, Hardin, Mercer, Paulding, Putnam, and Van Wert counties.
