Lady Lancers down Hicksville in roundball

The Lincolnview Lady Lancer basketball team got a convincing 60-35 victory over Hicksville Tuesday in a non-conference basketball game at home.

Kaylee Thatcher led the Lancers with 17 points and six steals, while Katie Dye added 11 points and eight assists and Kaitlyn Brant had 9 point for Lincolnview. Leading scorer for the Aces was Megan Headly, who led all scorers with 19 points.

The Lancers took a 14-9 lead at the end of the first quarter and were up 26-18 at the half.

Hicksville was outscored by Lincolnview 16-3 in the third quarter and the Lady Lancers held a 21-point lead, 42-21, heading into the final stanza of play.

Lincolnview finished the game by outscoring the Lady Aces 18-14 in the fourth quarter.

The Lady Lancers will next host Ottoville this coming Saturday, December 3, in another non-conference contest.
