Robert Burr Duffey

Robert Burr Duffey, 74, of Paulding, died Thursday, December 1, 2011, at the Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born August 28, 1937, in Toledo, the son of Eleanor L. (Saul) Duffey and the late George R. Duffey. On August 30, 1958, he married Barbara Ann (Focht) Duffey.

Other survivors include a son, Robert (Mary) Duffey of Paulding; four daughters, Larisa (Juan) Maristany of Laramie, Wyo., Shari (Gary) Gallant of Defiance, Jean (Bill) Shawver of Grove City and Tena (Jeremy) Crist of Fort Wayne, Ind.; one brother, T. Michael Duffey of Tampa, Fla.; three sisters, Barbara (Richard) Mackling of Inverness, Fla., Kathy Duffey Hardin of Woodville and Virginia (Earl) O’Hara of Genoa; and 12 grandchildren.

A daughter, Laura L. Duffey; one brother-in-law, Don Hardin; and a sister-in-law, Marsha Duffey, also preceded him in death.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 10, at Calvary Bible Church in Paulding, with Dr. Tiberius Rata officiating. Burial will be in Maumee Cemetery in Antwerp.

Calling hours are from 10 a.m. until the time of services Saturday, December 10, at the church.

Preferred memorials: Defiance Area Youth for Christ or a charity of donor’s choice.
