Lancer girls dominated by Ottoville

The Lincolnview Lady Lancers learned what teams in the McDonald’s Tip-Off Tournament had to face when they met up with Ottoville on Saturday. The Lady Big Green dominated from start to finish for a 67-30 non-conference victory over Lincolnview. It was the first loss for the Lady Lancers, who are now 2-1 on the year. Ottoville remains undefeated at 3-0 on the year.

The Big Green led 16-9 at the end of the first quarter and were up 33-18 at the half. The margin was 22 points, 48-26, at the end of the third stanza.

Offensive leader for Lincolnview was Clair Dye, who scored 9 points and had three assists in the game, while Kaitlyn Brant had 8 points. Carley Springer had 8 rebounds for the Lancers. Ottoville’s Abby Siefker was the game’s leading scorer with 20 points, while Rachel Beining added 10 points for the Big Green.

The junior varsity game was much closer, with Ottoville edging the Lancer JVs 37-32.

Next up for Lincolnview will be a home contest with Northwest Conference opponent Allen East this Thursday, December 8.
