City officials to be sworn in at library

The public is invited to attend a swearing-in ceremony of elected city officials on Thursday, December 29, at 4 p.m. at Brumback Library.

Being sworn in by Municipal Court Judge Jill Leatherman is Don Farmer as mayor; Martha Balyeat as city auditor; John Hatcher as law director; Gary Corcoran as president of Council; Stan Agler, and Jeff Agler as councilors-at-large; and John Marshall, Joi Mergy, Stuart Jewett and Pete Weir as ward councilors.  The term of office for each elected official begins on January 1, 2012.
