Virginia A. Meyer

Virginia A. “Ginny” Meyer, 69, of Delphos, died at 1:10 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

She was born June 26, 1942, in Allen County, the daughter of the late William and Agnes (Hickey) Kimmet. On August 4, 1962, she married Paul E. Meyer, who survives in Delphos.

Other survivors include a son, Paul Andrew (Cheryl) Meyer of Anna; three daughters, Lisa (Steven) Heitmeyer of King George, Va., Kelly (Jeffrey) Pratt of Lima and Danielle Eley of Delphos; three brothers, Donald (Ginny) Kimmet and George (Jan) Kimmet, both of Delphos, and Daniel (Barb) Kimmet of Spencerville; and seven grandchildren.

A granddaughter, Tristan Eley; and one grandson, Carter Pratt, also preceded her in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 27, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, with Father Melvin Verhoff officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Delphos.

Calling hours are from 4-8 p.m. Monday, December 26, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, where a parish wake will be held at 7:30 that evening.
