Another item has been added to the agenda for Van Wert City Council’s Judiciary & Annexation Committee.

According to Council President Gary Corcoran, Mayor Louis Ehmer received a request from an applicant asking the city to approve transfer of a liquor license from Allen County to Van Wert County.

The license is being transferred to allow the sale of liquor on Sunday, and is being transferred for use specifically by Fricker’s.

The mayor asked for the request to be added to the agenda for the Judiciary & Annexation Committee meeting scheduled for this Wednesday, December 28.

During the meeting Mayor Ehmer will present information from the attorney representing the applicant to the committee.

Also on Wednesday, the Judiciary & Annexation Committee, which will meet at 7 p.m., will discuss the city’s Revolving Loan Fund administration agreement and electric aggregation, while the Finance Committee will meet at 6:30 that evening to review year-end supplemental appropriations, transfers and health insurance.

City Council will also meet Wednesday, beginning at 7:30 p.m., to approve any year-end supplemental appropriations and transfers, as well as finalize legislation setting new water and sewer rates for the coming year.

The meetings will also be held in Council Chambers, located on the second floor of the Municipal Building, 515 E. Main St.
