Lancer boys down Jennings Musketeers

The Lincolnview Lancer boys had three players in double figures as they recorded a 53-47 non-conference win over Fort Jennings on Tuesday evening.

The Lancers led by three, 16-13, at the end of the first quarter, and stretched it to two baskets, 29-25, at the half. The Musketeers got a point back in the third quarter, outscoring Lincolnview 12-11 in that period to trail by three, 40-37, but the Lancers closed it out in the final stanza, outpointing Jennings 13-10 for the six-point win.

Sloan Whitaker led Lincolnview with 20 points, while Clayton Longstreth added 15 counters and Kyle Williams scored 12 for the Lancers. Musketeer Cody Warnecke was the game high scorer with 24 points, while Jeremy Kohli added 10 points for Fort Jennings.

With the victory, Lincolnview is now 3-4 overall and 1-0 in the Northwest Conference.

The Lancers will play another Putnam County League team, Ottoville, this Friday, December 30, at home. Junior varsity game will begin at 6 that evening.
