Cross Over The Hill, a new ministry preparing to offer release time Bible classes to Van Wert Elementary School students as they enter their new school home in the Fall of 2012, announces the acquisition of a permanent facility on Ohio 118, adjacent to the currently under-construction new grades 1-5 elementary school building.

The facility (shown at right) will be remodeled during early 2012 to house two large classrooms, fully handicap-accessible restroom facilities, a kitchen, and lounge to effectively accommodate students for an hour each week school is in session.

Ohio and federal laws permit schoolchildren to attend off-campus religious instruction one hour weekly, and both Crestview and Lincolnview elementary school children have enjoyed this privilege for many years.

The Cross Over The Hill Steering Committee is comprised of local pastors, an attorney, local school educators and administrators, and fully committed Christian parents and grandparents who began in October 2010 to formulate the vision and plan to bring this opportunity to Van Wert elementary students.

Cross Over The Hill launched an informational and educational blitz during 2011, informing local citizens and churches of this new ministry. Having now secured status as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization from the Internal Revenue Service, Cross Over The Hill will be launching a capital fundraising campaign early in January 2012 to raise funds to fully complete the purchase and remodeling of the facility, as well as to finance the ongoing monthly ministry expenses.

All gifts and donations will be fully tax deductible, according to current IRS regulations.  Further information about the ministry may be obtained by going on their website at www.crossoverthehill.org or contacting them at P.O. Box 702, Van Wert, OH 45891.
